Commitment to our customers… and future customers
The focus of our business has always revolved around the sale and service of center pivot irrigation systems to improve the bottom line of farmers growing crops. The picture has grown and evolved over time, just like the customers we serve.
Michigan Valley Irrigation was started in 1985 by Neal Krieger who purchased a small irrigation business from a retiring owner. Working from his home in Vassar, MI, the journey began.
Start of another busy may day in McBride
The McBride location was added in 2008 to improve service and access a large concentration of customers in Montcalm and surrounding counties. The Battle Creek store opened its doors in 2014 to better serve a solid customer base in west and southwest Michigan. In early 2020 McBride became “command central” as John McGee succeeded his father-in-law Neal Krieger as the principal of the business
With a rapidly expanding Michigan dairy industry and recent processing growth predicting more hog and dairy production, Michigan Valley became a dealer for WER manure handling equipment. With our expertise in calculating effluent movement and livestock operations looking for cost effective way to decrease fertilizer costs by utilizing manure, it was a natural fit.
Municipal and private wastewater handling has quietly become an important part of our business mix. Much of the final product from several municipalities and food processing plants gets land applied on crop fields. Designing the infrastructure and selecting and installing pumps to move fluids through a system has also been part of our everyday routine for years. In many cases we have already worked with the farmers cropping those fields.

Today, with nearly 40 full time employees, a fleet of trucks, trailers, building equipment and an extensive parts inventory, Michigan Valley is the largest irrigation dealer in Michigan and the region. We have recently been recognized by Valley as a “Performance Premier Dealer” along with numerous other dealer awards.
Despite the growth numbers and company recognition, we pride ourselves in taking care of our customers and helping their businesses prosper.
